Today, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa received the 'International Solidarity Award 2013' out of the hands of Christian Biever, Luxembourg's ambassador to Greece. The award is given out by the Greek ELPIDA Association of Friends of Children with Cancer and given to the Grand Duchess to honour her contribution to intercultural dialogue.
The original award ceremony took place in Athens on October 16 but as her schedule did not allow for her to go, Luxembourg's ambassador had to stand in for Grand Duchess Maria Teresa on that occasion and now handed over the award at the palais today.
