New Year's Audiences *

After dropping some major news yesterday, the Grand Ducal Family started into their new working year with the traditional annual new year's audiences today. In four seperate receptions Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa as well as Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie welcomed (and will welcome in case of the latter two) the bureau of the Chamber of Deputies, the Prime Minister and his government, the president and bureau of the Council of State as well as the national authorities. There will be another three audiences tomorrow during the course of which the Grand Ducal and the Hereditary Grand Ducal couples will meet with the accredited ambassadors to Luxembourg, representatives of the European institutions in the Grand Duchy as well as the Grand Ducal employees respectively.
