Guillaume Visits Utah

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume is currently heading an economic mission to the United States of America and so he has been visiting Utah since Sunday. His visit will end today and he and his accompanying business delegation will then visit San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. As always when the Hereditary Grand Duke whiles in the US, there isn't an awful lot of information to be found on the internet but here we go anyway.

Today and during the past few days, Hereditary Grand Duke, Minister Etienne Schneider and their delegation have had meetings with Senior Government officials such as Lt. Governor Spencer J. Cox and the leadership of the Governor’s Office for Economic Development. During an Economic Seminar at Governor’s Office of Economic Development, they talked about Luxembourg's past economic success and its ambitions for the future.

They also visited several companies in the Salt Lake City area as well as the Huntsman Cancer Institute of the University of Utah to explore chances of collaboration between the Institute and Luxembourgish biomedical research institutions. Apart from taking part in a discussion about "Doing Business in Luxembourg", the Hereditary Grand Duke also officially opened a new Honorary Consulate of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Utah. So congrats to the new Honorary Consule David G. Murrell IV! (Picture here.)
