This morning the Grand Ducal Family's youngest member, Princess Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa, was christened at the Chapelle de Saint-Ferréol situated on a hilltop at the northeastern edge of Lorgues. The godparents of the daughter of Prince Félix and Princess Claire are Princess Alexandra and Felix Lademacher, the mother's brother. The site of the baptism, the Chapelle de Saint-Ferréol, has been considered a place of pilgrimage since the 16th century.

Guests at the baptism included Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa, Grand Duke Jean, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Prince Louis and Princess Tessy with Prince Gabriel and Prince Noah, Prince Sébastien as well as Archduchess Marie-Astrid, Archduchess Kathleen and little Archduchess Maria-Stella. Naturally, the parents of Princess Claire, Hartmut and Gabriele Lademacher, were also in attendance. The mass was celebrated by Father Yves Menjot, parish priest of Lorgues, Saint Antonin and Thoronet.

More pictures from the arrival and departure are available at Wort in German, Wort in French, Wort in English, Tageblatt, Getty Images, SIPA and APA. Visuals from inside the church will be published by the cour grand-ducale tomorrow.
